Nick Guldemond is Associate Professor of Integrated Care and Technology at the Erasmus School of Health Policy and Management at Erasmus University in the Netherlands, and is Chief Innovation Officer at the health intelligence company Panaxea. As Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Medical Field Lab, created in 2004 as the first hospital-based open-innovation living lab, he earned international recognition for creating business through public¬–private partnerships. Guldemond is a key expert in electronic health (eHealth) and integrated care for various international organizations such as the WHO Global Observatory for eHealth and European Union programmes such as Knowledge Innovation Community (KIC) Health, KIC Digital, EU4Digital, Ambient Assisted Living and the Innovative Medical Device Initiative. He is an expert in technology-enabled health-care transformation from government to workfloor levels across Europe and internationally (for example, in Brazil, China, Iran and the Russian Federation), and a sought-after adviser for multinational companies. Guldemond was the architect of the Dutch eHealth and big data strategies as well as Programme Director of eHealth on behalf of the Netherlands Federation of University Medical Centres (NFU).
