Bio

Professor in Welfare Technology, Department of Neuromedicine and Movement Science, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, NTNU/Norwegian University of Science and Technology.

Adjunct Professor at the Norwegian Centre for eHealth Research, University Hospital of North Norway.

Holds a Ph.D. in Software Engineering from the Computing Science Department, University of Glasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom. His main research interests lay in the welfare and assistive technologies area. Has been the principal investigator (PI) in several national and international research projects. Has more than 70 peer-reviewed scientific publications, has been a reviewer for several scientific conferences and journals (Computer Journal, IEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Communications, International Journal of Medical Informatics, International Journal of E-Health and Medical Communications, Journal of Telemedicine and Telecare), was co-editor of the Journal of Telemedicine and Telecare and is a guest editor of the International Journal of E-Health and Medical Communications. He is a member of the IEEE SSIT (Society on Social Implications of Technology).
