Shared medical records for joint interaction
We often hear that healthcare services in Norway are fragmented, and that patients and relatives are unsure whether healthcare professionals have up-to-date information. How can we solve this? For the past year, Trondheim Municipality has been using the Health Platform as a single medical record solution. How has this affected collaboration across healthcare providers?

The biggest change is fast access to and reuse of structured information across services. The most popular feature is chat between colleagues at the hospital and in the municipality.
Smooth interaction and holistic patient pathways are important for all patient groups, regardless of whether they live at home and receive follow-up from both their GP and the hospital or are admitted to an institution.
Over the past year, Trondheim Municipality and St Olavs Hospital have used the Health Platform as a single shared medical records solution. It has facilitated smoother logistics around the patient, because information about the patient's course of treatment is available regardless of telephone, e-mail and fax. It has also made patients more independent and involved their relatives in a better way.
How has Trondheim Municipality experienced the transition to the Health Platform, and what ripple effects are they experiencing?
At the webinar, we will discuss challenges and experiences with the introduction and operation of a common EHR solution, and short and long-term benefits. It has been a digital innovation, but also innovation in forms of collaboration between municipalities and municipalities and hospitals - and users.
Presentation by Wenche Dehli, Municipal Director, City Council Department of Health and Care, Trondheim Municipality.
