Webinar: Which patients benefit from digital home monitoring?

Home monitoring can be useful for keeping track of various measurements in patients. But what is needed for patients to be able to use this technology? This was the topic of the webinar on 19 September.

The SMILE project, led by Sykehuset Innlandet, has provided digital services for patients with lung disease, dementia and post-operative diagnoses. Users were offered various technological solutions, including a chatbot with information about illness, social activities and tips on physical activity. In this webinar, heard about experiences of which solutions worked well and which were less successful.

We also hear about experiences of how the solutions were received by patients, where many felt reassured, but there were also several who needed a great deal of follow-up in order to be able to use the technology. We are also presented with figures for how many home care recipients have the necessary skills to operate digital solutions on their own.

Presentation by Sverre Bergh, Senior Researcher, PhD, Doctor at the The Norwegian National Centre for Ageing and Health and Head of Research at The research center for age-related functional decline and disease (AFS).
