New head of centre
Line Helen Linstad will be the new head of the Norwegian Centre for E-health Research. She will take up the position on 1 July.

Line Linstad is an experienced and unifying leader and an exceptional relationship builder.
"I want to raise the profile of the Norwegian Centre for E-health Research and highlight the work we do both nationally and internationally. This means it will be important to work strategically with relationships and connect with players who will help us move forward," says incoming centre director Line Linstad.
She comes from the position of senior advisor and PhD fellow at the same centre, where she has worked since 2002. She has 15 years of experience as a leader from the Norwegian Centre for E-health Research and the former Norwegian Centre for Telemedicine. She headed the centre in the transition from Telemed to E-health Research in 2015-2016.
Strategically important position
David Johansen, CEO of the University Hospital of North Norway, led the recruitment process together with Tove Klæboe Nilsen, research director at the Northern Norway Health Trust, and Terje Wistner, head of the e-health department at KS and chair of the centre's steering group.
"In choosing between several talented candidates, we settled on Line Linstad because she has a unique combination of skills. With her education and experience in political science, e-health, research, management and international cooperation, she is well equipped to meet the challenges facing the centre in the years to come.

Background
In 1994, Linstad graduated from the University of Oslo with a major in political science. She has also completed a partial master's degree in management and a project management course at BI Norwegian Business School, as well as several management courses.
She is now in the final stages of a PhD at the Department of Community Medicine, UiT The Arctic University of Norway. Her research focuses on the management of e-health, with an emphasis on the national management model established in line with the e-health policy set out in Meld. St. 9 (2012-2013) ‘One citizen – one medical record’.
Line Linstad has extensive experience from international cooperation with board positions in HIMSS Europe and on the EHTEL Board of Directors for two terms from 2011 to 2015. She has also been an advisor to the Barcelona Mobile World mHealth Centre.
