Webinar: Closed medication loop with patient-labelled single doses for safety and better resource utilisation
How can digitising medication management increase patient safety and free up time for nurses? We heard about the experiences of Telemark Hospital at the webinar on 7 November.
In this webinar, you will learn about the work being done at Telemark Hospital with electronic medical records, patient-labelled single doses and closed medication loops, solutions designed to make medication management safer and more efficient. Using Atlas software, electronic medical records are linked to the pharmacy system. This makes ordering medicines more automated, reduces the risk of errors and gives nurses more time for patient-related tasks.
Project manager and pharmacist Karen Vik explains that the goal is to relieve nurses and ensure that their expertise is used where it is most needed.
‘This is primarily about patient safety, but also about safety for nurses in a busy working day,’ says Vik.
