Generative AI is increasingly being used to answer medical questions, often with references to credible professional sources. But how reliable are the answers when structure and context are lost? In this webinar, we look at the opportunities, limitations and risks of using generative AI to communicate drug information.
Chat-based AI solutions are becoming increasingly common in healthcare, both as knowledge tools and decision support. Even when the solutions are based on recognised professional sources, experience shows that they can provide incorrect and misleading answers, particularly when it comes to dosage and other safety-critical information.
In the webinar, we highlight why generative language models often underperform when combined with complex drug information, and provide examples of what can go wrong. We also discuss responsibility, patient safety and the professional requirements for the safe and critical use of such solutions.
The webinar is suitable for healthcare professionals, technology providers and professional communities who work with or are considering the use of generative AI in a medical context.
