Webinar: AI in the Nordic countries and around Norway
Where is artificial intelligence being used in the healthcare sector, and what can we learn from one another? In this webinar we take a closer look at the AI landscape in the Nordic region and Norway, moving from the big picture to specific examples from the specialist healthcare service.
Artificial intelligence is finding its way into more and more areas of the healthcare sector. What types of solutions are being developed and implemented, and where are the opportunities to learn across regions and national borders?
In this webinar, we present the Nordic AI Health Map, the first major comprehensive survey of AI initiatives in the healthcare sector across the Nordic region. The map contains over 800 AI initiatives from publicly funded healthcare services in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland and Iceland, and shows both the areas in which AI is being used and how far the various initiatives have progressed, from concept and pilot phase to routine operation.
We will then take a closer look at ‘AI Norway around 2026’, a snapshot of the use of artificial intelligence in the Norwegian specialist health service. The survey provides a comprehensive overview of the AI solutions reported by the four regional health authorities, and highlights experiences, challenges and benefits associated with the introduction and use of AI.
Finally, we move from the survey to practical application, as Helse Vest presents specific examples of AI projects that have been reported in the survey. We will see examples from both clinical and non-clinical areas, and gain an insight into how AI is already being used and trialled in the Norwegian specialist health service.
