Omid Saadatfard is a senior adviser at the Norwegian Centre for E-health Research, and started in 2018. He has more than 20 years of experience in design, development and implementation of information systems, with the 12 last years focusing on health care.
He was briefly employed at our centre before 2018, and worked on research applications and fact sheets.
Omid got a master’s degree in health informatics in 2016 from the University of Toronto. For his final project he wrote a study protocol for evaluation of an m-health app for helping patients with alcohol addiction.
In Canada he worked many years with implementation of electronic health records (EHR). The main tasks were integration of EHR into primary care systems, and ensuring interoperability of systems. He has a special interest in evaluating information systems in health care.
