Stine Nalum Næss
Stine Nalum Næss received the MSc and PhD degrees in biophysics and medical technology from NTNU, Trondheim, in 2000 and 2004, respectively. She also has 2 postdocs from the same university, and has published over 20 papers in international journals. The research is related to mathematical modeling, analysis and simulations. At NTNU, she has supervised master students and been involved in teaching activities. For 13 years, Næss worked in the private sector as a senior developer on digital twins within maritime training simulators. Næss has worked in the radiology department at the Vestfold Hospital Trust since 2019 as a medical physicist, and thereby established links to clinical environment. Since November 2020, she holds a 20% position as a researcher at NSE in the project "Better use of artificial intelligence - real world investigations into conditions for optimization in Norwegian specialist Health services".
