Pathology services in the Western Norway Health Region – a center for applied digitization: Fibrosis quantification in kidney and liver biopsies
Formål
To establish an image analysis module to quantify fibrosis in kidney and liver biopsies.
Problemstilling
Interstitial fibrosis is one of the crucial prognostic markers in non-neoplastic renal and liver biopsies. Currently fibrosis is estimated by eyeballing, which allows only a very rough differentiation into 3-4 grades.
