Peace through health, preliminary project Sri Lanka

The NST assists in an establishment of a new health faculty at the Eastern University, Batticaloa, Sri Lanka.

In light of the collaboration agreements between the Eastern University and the University In Tromsø from 2000, the Eastern University has asked UiTø for assistance to establish the new faculty. It is the centre for International Health that is responsible for coordination for this project. It is sent in an application on the main project, and an answer is expected in 2005. Collaboration partners: The University in Tromsø, the University hospital in Northern Norway, the High school in Tromsø, the Centre for International health, the Centre for Peace studies at the University in Tromsø and the Norwegian Centre for integrated care and Telemedicine.
