Reza Baharmand

Bio

Reza's background is in mathematics and mechanics. He started to learn computer science when he was 13 years old. He studied independently and attended some higher education courses. His first job was at a small computer company and since then he has continued to work in IT. He worked as an advisor and senior advisor in PROMA Group, the Iranian national oil and gas company, an iron and steel factory, and in administrative and programming projects.

He started his work here at E-health Research with Project NINE and then IMPACT. One of his tasks is doing ETL and preprocessing, automated processes, to efficiently compile, build, and deploy python, R and java code to run in the IMPACT pipeline. OHDSI (Observational Health Data Sciences and Informatics) deployment is another field that he focuses on.
