The Norwegian Centre for E-health Research is collaborating with Polish health authorities to improve and renew the country's health services for its citizens.

"We're delighted to be in Tromsø and grateful to our Norwegian partner for hosting this event on tackling social health inequalities with telemedicine and E-health solutions in Poland. This exchange with Norwegian experts serves as a valuable platform for knowledge exchange between Polish and Norwegian experts and promises valuable learning and long-term cooperation,” says Anna Romańczyk, project coordinator from the Ministry of Health in Poland.

Sharing research findings

This four-year EES-funded project (Norway Grants) seeks to equalise access to and improve the quality of healthcare services for impoverished groups and citizens living in remote areas of Poland. Seven models and procedures for e-health and digitalisation are being developed in the fields of cardiology, geriatrics, psychiatry, obstetrics, palliative care, and chronic diseases.

"After three years of collaboration, we're pleased to welcome visitors from the Polish Ministry of Health and hospital partners from across Poland. In-person meetings have sparked lively discussions, and we're eager to expand our collaboration in the coming year. Exciting times ahead," says Eirin Rødseth, project manager from the Norwegian Centre for E-health Research.
