LIFEBOTS Exhange

Description

LIFEBOTS Exchange aims at enhancing cross-sector, international and interdisciplinary collaboration in the area of social robotics technology. The project will particularly focus on the health and care sector, and examines how social robots can be included into people's life.

LIFEBOTS Exchange is a project financed by the Research and Innovation Staff Exchange (RISE), which is part of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA). The RISE programme promotes cross-borderand cross-sector collaboration through sharing knowledge and ideas from research to market and vica versa.

Goals

A knowledge hub for social robotics will be created with a threefold aim: (1) To enhance the competencies of involved staff members, refining and focusing their skills; (2) To build a tri-sectoral network involving academia, industry and users of technology, and (3) to create an enduring network that will outlive the grant funding.

Method

LIFEBOTS Exchange seek to develop a holistic understanding of social robots in the intersection of care, user interaction, technology and society. By researcher and staff exchange, the project aims to increase knowledge on social robotics and to increase cooperation between different disciplines, sectors and countries.
