The best artificial intelligence for Sápmi

What is a Sami health service?
It could be precision medicine, a language-based test, a population study or a programme to improve the health of the population. It's easy to get into the field now and have a big impact.

Effective artificial intelligence is representative artificial intelligence. For example, a health service used in Norway includes data from the Sami population. That way, the result will be relevant to the patient.

The Sámi AI Lab is a new project that investigates what needs Sámi artificial intelligence can solve. The research questions are many: How can we create Sámi artificial intelligence? What opportunities does it offer for Sámi patients? What challenges do we face in the development and use of Sámi solutions in healthcare?

When we have found answers to these questions, we will have artificial intelligence for the good of Sápmi.
