Evaluation of Snakketøyet


Snakketøyet is a digital tool developed by Barns Beste in cooperation with a psychiatrist and a child psychologist. The tool is developed for health care personnel and other adults (in school, kindergarten etc.) who support and care for children as relatives in their everyday lives. Snakketøyet was launched in May 2014. By using a digital tool (e-learning) one can avoid the use of practical and resource-demanding problems related to carringy out comprehensive training programs.

The project goal is to evaluate Snakketøyet as an appropriate digital tool for supporting and caring for children as relatives. We will map the different types of professionals who use the tool, the amount of users, the tool's usefulness and how the tool might be improved. The project may provide important experience and evidence-based knowledge relevant to further development of Snakketøyet.


The overall goal is to evaluate the properties of Snakketøyet as a practical, informative and available tool for conversations with parents and children.

Questionnaire (Questback)

Quantitative method: A structured questionnaire for different groups of users. The purpose is to reach as many of the users as possible in order to analyse the usefulness of Snakketøyet.


Qualitative method: interviewe a number of informants that have special knowledge of and who are working with children as relatives. The informants will be selected from departments within the specialized healthcare services and from primary health care. The purpose is to get in-depth information about the use of Snakketøyet related to clinical work.
