Monika Johansen
Bio
Monika Johansen, is the acting head of the “Future Health Record” department, and a senior researcher within e-health at NSE. She has worked at NST, the center in which NSE was built upon, since March 1995. In her work at NST/NSE she has been the leader of researchers, and service developers for about 13 years. When not in leadership positions, Monika has been a project manager and researcher in local, regional, national and international projects. She has been the driving force behind several strategy processes and quality assurance processes, included been responsible for the development of previous research strategies, and quality assurance of research applications, and leading the project leader forum.
In 1991, Monika completed a Cand. Scient degree in Computer Science, and, in 2013, received her Ph.D. in Telemedicine and e-Health, at the University of Tromsø. Since 2014, she is an Associate Professor at the University of Tromsø – The Arctic University of Norway. She supervise students, at present she is the co-supervisor of a Ph.D. student and the main supervisor of a MSc student. In addition to her academic education, Monika has completed several courses and scoring studies in leadership and project management. She has previous working experience with Telenor, included Telenor Research.
On her free time, Monika likes to read a good book, and walk in the woods, maybe to pick berries and mushrooms. She loves being on the ocean, especially when there is fish to get.
