Thomas Roger Schopf

Bio

Thomas Schopf er lege og forsker, og har vært ansatt ved Nasjonalt senter for e-helseforskning siden 2007. Han ble uteksaminert fra Det medisinske fakultet ved Universitetet i Oslo i 1995. Etter å ha tjenestegjort som millitærlege i Forsvaret, jobbet han som allmennpraktiserende lege i flere kommuner. Etter videreutdanning ved Hudavdelingen på Universitetssykehuset Nord-Norge, spesialiserte han seg innen hud- og veneriske sykdommer.

I 2013 forsvarte han sin doktoravhandling "Using the Internet to manage atopic eczema" (Nettbasert behandling av atopisk eksem) ved Universitetet i Tromsø. Doktor Schopf underviser både studenter og helsepersonell i dermatologi og telemedisin. Han er spesielt interessert i kliniske beslutningsstøttesystemer for hudkreft, teledermatologi og nettbasert utdanning rettet mot pasienter og helsepersonell.

Han er styremedlem i Den internasjonale dermatoskopiforeningen. Han har erfaring fra ulike teledermatologitjenester og har bidratt til utviklingen av nettstedene "Eksemskolen.no" og "Sjekkdeg.no" samt de nettbaserte kursene "Hjelp, det klør! " og "EPJ-skolen". I tillegg til sin forskerstilling ved Nasjonalt senter for e-helseforskning, tar doktor Schopf imot pasienter på sitt kontor i Storsteinnes.
