Paolo Zanaboni
Bio
Paolo Zanaboni is a professor in telemedicine and e-health and has been working at the centre since 2010. He holds a PhD in Management Engineering with a thesis focused on assessment of telemedicine services.
His research interests include:
- telerehabilitation and remote monitoring of patients with chronic diseases
- e-health interventions for disease prevention and health promotion (physical activity and public health)
- digital health services for citizens (e-consultations with the general practitioner, patient accessible electronic health records)
- adoption and diffusion of e-health interventions
He has extensive experience as principal investigator for clinical trials on innovative digital solutions for home monitoring, home rehabilitation and physical activity promotion. He also led national projects focused on the evaluation of digital interventions for citizens in collaboration with the Norwegian Directorate of eHealth.
Research methods include randomized controlled trials, surveys, systematic literature reviews, cost-effectiveness analyses, mixed methods studies and registry-based studies.
He is member of the research group Sport, physical activity, and health at the School of Sport Sciences, UiT The Arctic University of Norway.
