Eirik Årsand

Bio

Eirik Årsand, Professor i e-helse, har jobbet ved senteret siden 2000. Årsand har master i elektronikk/måleteknikk fra UiT Norges Arktiske Universitet/Technische Universität Hamburg-Harburg fra 1992. I 2009 tok han doktorgrad i medisinsk informatikk ved UiT på utvikling og utprøving av en av de første selvhjelpsapplikasjonene innen diabetes, noe som senere ble videreutviklet til forskningsappen Diabetesdagboka. Årsand er per i dag involvert i mange prosjekter innen m-helse, og har en portefølje på 35 prosjekter bak seg. Han veileder både doktorgradsstudenter, mastergradsstudenter, samt studenter på lavere nivå. Årsand har hovedstilling som professor ved Institutt for Informatikk ved UiT, og har tilknytning til gruppa Health informatics and technology group ved Institutt for Informatikk. Per oktober 2022 har Årsand 475 registrerte publikasjoner i Cristin.
