Ethical assessments

The study protocol was supported by the Regional Committee for Medical and Health Research Ethics (REC). The pilot study was approved by the Data Protection Section at the University Hospital of North Norway. Healthcom AS is a private enterprise that harvested the data from the smartphones and forwarded them to the REDCap database. De-identified data will be stored on REDCap, the research database at the University Hospital of North Norway. The data will be handled in accordance with the permissions given by the above listed governmental bodies. The researchers who will analyze the data will only have access to the anonymous data. The data will be summarized and published in a way that none of the participants may be recognized.
