Webinar: Digitalization of medication management


Utilization of technology to ensure safe use of medications in hospitals is quite different in the USA than in Norway. Dr. Sally Rafie talks about digital technology and the medication use process in this webinar on September 17th.

One large academic medical center in the United States has used digital technology to design and support safe medication use systems. Dr. Sally Rafie will review the medication use system in the hospitals and technologies employed in the various processes. She will share the medication error reduction program design and tools, including data sources and digital monitoring.

Dr. Rafie is a pharmacist specialist in medication safety and has been in this role for over 10 years. She completed her Doctor of Pharmacy degree at the University of California San Francisco and an acute care pharmacy practice residency at UC San Diego Health. Sally also serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of California San Diego school of pharmacy. She manages the medication safety and error reduction efforts.
