Bart de Witte is a highly accomplished individual with a proven track record in the field of technology and innovation in healthcare. He serves as the Founder of the Hippo AI Foundation and a Scientific Board Member at Aspetar Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Hospital. He has extensive experience advising Governments and organizations on technology and innovation policy, with a particular focus on the socio-economic impact on healthcare. Bart is a member of numerous influential think tanks, including the Walther Siegenthaler Gesellschaft and German Academy of Science and Engineering. He is a guest lecturer at different business schools in Europe and China.

Previously, Bart held the role of Public & Healthcare Industry Leader for Central & Eastern Europe at IBM, where he was part of the company's global health leadership team. He played a pivotal role in leading smart healthcare initiatives in the region and collaborated with organizations such as the WHO and International Agency for Research in Cancer on special projects. Through his work on improving healthcare systems in low- and middle-income regions, Bart developed a deep understanding of global inequalities in health and mentored startups focused on increasing access to care in underprivileged areas.
