Francesc Saigí

Francesc Saigí is an Associate Professor of the Faculty of Health Sciences at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC) in Barcelona, Spain. He is currently Head of the World Health Organization (WHO) Collaborating Centre for eHealth at the same faculty. His main research interests include the definition, implementation, and evaluation of new digital health services, in particular, telemedicine and eHealth; and the use of eHealth and ICT to promote changes in health-related behavior, improve population health and prevent chronic diseases. He has participated in 16 R&D projects. He is also the co-author of more than 60 articles that have either been published or accepted in peer-reviewed journals, 49 of which are JCR-indexed; more than a dozen in non-indexed journals, mainly related to e-health; and more than 30 publications in academic and research books.
