Ivo Rakovac
Regional Adviser for Noncommunicable Disease (NCD) Surveillance and Unit Head in the WHO European Region
Dr. Ivo Rakovac serves as Regional Adviser for Noncommunicable Disease (NCD) Surveillance and Unit Head in the WHO European Region, and as Special Representative and Officer in Charge at the WHO Country Office Greece. He is working for WHO since 2010 in progressively senior technical and managerial roles. He has varied experience in medical informatics, epidemiology, public health, health policy, health services research and planning at regional, national and international level and health diplomacy.
Ivo graduated from the Technical University of Graz, Austria, where he also obtained a PhD degree in the area of health services research and medical informatics.
