Raquel Castelo Branco
Director of the Social Cohesion Department of Porto Municipality
Maria Raquel Magalhães de Castelo Branco was born in Porto in July 1969. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Food Engineering from the Superior School of Biotechnology Catholic University of Porto, and has an MBA in Business Management and Administration.
Since 2016, she is the Director of the Social Cohesion Department of Porto Municipality.
She is President of Honor of the International Association “Réseau Cité des Métiers”, having held the position of President between 2014 and 2020.
She was a member of the Board of Directors of the Foundation for Social Development of Porto, FP, having held the position of executive director between 2009 and 2014.
She was adjunct for the Porto’s Municipality Councillor on Sports, Culture, and Leisure, between 2008 and 2009.
She was Vice President of the Cultural Association Culturporto, having held the position of Executive Director between 2004 and 2007.
She was coordinator of the Executive Nucleus of the Local Council for Social Intervention in Porto.
She was a member of the Executive Committee of the Center for Social Innovation in Porto.
She was a member of the Municipal Security Council.
She was a member of the Municipal Council of Communities.
She was a trainer at the Superior School of Technology and Industrial Management at the Catholic University of Porto.
She has participated as a speaker in several National and International Conferences, Seminars and Congresses.
