Dr. Ricardo Baptista Leite, MD, is the CEO of IDAIR – The International Digital Health and Artificial Intelligence Research Collaborative, based in Geneva.

Founder & President of ‘UNITE Parliamentarians Network for Global Health’, a network of current and former members of parliaments, congresses and senates, present in nearly 100 countries, in partnership with the World Health Organization.

Chair of the ‘Global Health Policy Lab @ Charité & Harvard’, a collaborative between Charité – University Medicine Berlin (Center for Global Health) and Harvard University (Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, Health Systems Performance Lab).

Chair of the ‘Centre for Global Health’ at NOVA IMS – NOVA Information Management and Data Science School. Guest Lecturer at NOVA Medical School. Both at NOVA University Lisbon (Portugal).

Former Member of Parliament (Portugal, 4 terms) and former Vice President of the Social Democrats Parliamentary Board.

Former Vice President of the ‘Parliamentary Network on The World Bank & IMF’.

Opposition City Councilor of Sintra. Former Deputy Mayor of Cascais.

Medical Doctor trained in Infectious Diseases, with nearly a decade of clinical practice and experience in health tech at a multinational software house.

Post-graduate studies at multiple institutions including Johns Hopkins University, Harvard Kennedy School of Government and Harvard Medical School.

Former Head of Public Health at Católica University of Portugal.

Founder of ‘CREATING HEALTH – Research and Innovation Funding’.

Author of the book “A Road to the Cure – Proposals to Fix the Portuguese Health System” (PT, 2020), Main author of the book “Citizenship for Health” (PT, 2015), among other publications.
