Advisor One Health Data Alliance Africa (OHDAA) at German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ)

Mirna Hussein holds a M.S degree in Medical Informatics from Deggendorf Institute of Technology in Germany, and a B.S degree in Nursing with a minor in Psychology from the American University of Beirut (AUB) Lebanon. During her tenure as TIGER Scholar Intern at HIMSS, Mirna published a white paper titled “The Status of Informatics/eHealth Integration in Medical and Nursing Curricula”. It included insights that shaped the integration of informatics and eHealth in the medical and nursing education landscape. Then, she joined the Global Program at GIZ: Pandemic Prevention and Response, One Health, with focus on Digitalization. Her passion for One Digital Health flourished during this period, culminating in her master´s thesis titled, “One Health Data Integration and Data Interoperability: A Prerequisite for One Digital Health Implementation in Sub-Saharan Africa”. With her dedication and unwavering commitment, Mirna Hussein set to assume the role of Advisor at OHDAA; GIZ, beginning officially in October.
