Phuong Dinh Ngo
Bio
Phuong Dinh Ngo received his Ph.D. degree from Purdue University, USA, in Mechanical Engineering and Intelligent Systems. He is the Head of the Technology and AI Department at the Norwegian Centre for E-health Research. With a multidisciplinary background and expertise in artificial intelligence, his research focuses on generative AI, robust and safe AI for healthcare applications, such as artificial pancreas solutions for type-1 diabetes patients and clinical decision support systems for patients with multimorbidity. Dr. Phuong has also significantly contributed to developing Norway's first clinical language models and advancing ethical and democratic AI practices, aiming to improve healthcare delivery and equity through technology.
