Maryam Tayefi Nasrabadi
Bio
Maryam Tayefi is a senior researcher at the Norwegian Centre for E-health Research. She is a Statistician and has many experiences in analysing health data sets using classical statistical methods and machine learning algorithms. She got her Bachelor and Master degrees in Statistics from Azad University of Mashhad, Iran. Also, she got her M.phil in Statistics (2010) and PhD in data mining (2013) from Pune University, Pune, India. Then, she worked as a post doctoral researcher at Mashhad University of Medical Sciences (MUMS), Mashhad, Iran (2015). Since 2016, She was a Research Assistant Professor at Faculty of Medicine, MUMS. During this period, she worked on different health data sets and she was a co-supervisor of many MSc, PhD and General medicine students and also specialist and sub-specialist physicians.
She got the best researcher prize of MUMS in 2018.
Her research interest is in prediction models with both classical statistical models and machine learning algorithms. She has been involved in the area of analysing unstructured data such as clinical text.
