Great interest in EHiN research 2019

- We have received over 40 contributions and we are very happy with that, says conference coordinator Eli Kristiansen from the Norwegian Centre for E-health Research.

The call for papers went out to people researching the use of technology in health – often named e-health.

This year, Kristiansen and her colleagues look forward to a research track at EHiN. It comes in addition to research being part of many of the general conference sessions. Also new this year is that the Scandinavian Conference on Health Informatics (SHI) is arranged as part of EHiN. EHiN is a national arena for e-health in Norway, and welcomes international participants to all the English-speaking sessions.

- For the research track, we have a scientific committee that is now peer-reviewing all submissions. We have received many interesting topics, for example about the use of electronic health records, how to manage change in health services, telerehabilitation and personal connected care. We are going to have a series of good sessions, presenting new, important knowledge, says Kristiansen.

Oxford-professor will close research track

- We are also pleased with announcing that Trish Greenhalgh will hold the closing speech. She is Professor of Primary Care Health Sciences and Fellow of Green Templeton College at the University of Oxford.

Greenhalgh’s three particular interests are the health needs of minority and disadvantaged groups; the introduction of technology-based innovations in healthcare; and the complex links (philosophical and empirical) between research, policy and practice.
